From the first drive of the inaugural
Response Expo Golf Tournament on the
morning of Tuesday, May 6 through
the final cocktail served at the
Closing Night party two days later,
Response Expo 2008 was full of
great networking opportunities for
the more than 1,600 who attended
the San Diego event. Throughout
the show, attendees, speakers and
exhibitors gathered to share ideas
or simply a good, friendly laugh.
As the Response team begins to
look ahead to the 2009 event, once
again set in San Diego on May 20-
21, let’s take one last look back at
the excitement of the 2008 Expo.
At right, Response Publisher John Yarrington
thanks Euro RSCG Edge CEO Steve Netzley
for his company’s sponsorship role in
bringing keynote speaker Benjamin Zander
to the Expo. Zander’s stirring two-hour
presentation included working with a local
virtuoso cellist (below right).
3V Marketing’s Eric
Crouse won the
event’s male long-drive competiton.
Above, Revshare’s Edward Shin and Mike Montgomery flank
NFL Alumni’s Jim Weatherley and Brian Sullivan. The foursome
took home the top prize — and four Dell laptop computers
— for winning the inaugural Response Expo Golf Tournament.
The second-place team at the Expo tournament took home new
Ogio golf bags. Above, Michatek’s Keith Conners, Media Funding’s
Shane Bradford, Michatek’s Marvin Jones and Moulton Logistics’
Joel Crannel (far right) pose with Response’s John Yarrington.

the winner in the
event’s “

competition.
Fittingly, Megan Cook of
The Golf Channel (above

took home the prize for
female longest drive at
the Response Expo Golf
Tournament.
