“We have tight supply chain controls so it didn’t
make sense to us where these products would be
coming from,” Given says.
So she ordered the products and — when they
arrived — Given immediately noticed the packaging
wasn’t what Radiancy uses and the logo and color
were both off, too. “We realized Radiancy didn’t
make the products, and we also knew we had a huge
problem on our hands. We didn’t have a system in
place to deal with this,” Given says.
That’s when she decided it was time to step into
the ring with the fraudsters. Turns out she was the
perfect fighter for the job. Given says she’s always
been interested in the counterfeit and gray markets,
product line, at
left, drew various
counterfeiters to try
to replicate not only
the products but the
packaging, as well.
